Information you provide
Meant may collect account details such as your verified phone number, name, username, profile photo, pronouns, city, interests, preferences, wishlists, important dates, posts, stories, comments, messages, and delivery preferences you choose to provide.
How information is used
We use account information to operate Meant, maintain mutual friend connections, show relevant gifting context, deliver messages and reminders, secure accounts, respond to support requests, and improve the product.
- Wishlist information is prioritized before preferences and interests when generating gift suggestions.
- Exact delivery details are not displayed to friends and are intended only for authorized fulfillment workflows.
- Stories are available to accepted friends for up to 72 hours.
- Recent feed posts may appear in the feed for up to seven days and remain available from the author's profile unless archived or deleted.
Sharing and service providers
Meant does not sell personal information. We may share limited information with infrastructure, authentication, hosting, messaging, analytics, storage, and future payment or fulfillment providers when necessary to provide the service.
Third-party integrations, including Pinterest, will require your explicit authorization before Meant can access approved account information.
Your controls
You can edit profile information, manage post and wishlist visibility, archive or delete posts, disconnect supported integrations, and request account deletion from Settings.
An account deletion request deactivates the account and schedules its data for permanent deletion after a 14-day restoration window.
Security and retention
Meant uses authentication, access controls, and restricted storage links to protect account data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Data is retained only as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and complete a requested account-deletion process.
