Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about privacy, friendships, gifting, and the current early-access build.

What is Meant?

Meant is a friends-first gifting marketplace and moment-tracking app. It combines mutual friendships, taste profiles, wishlists, important dates, personal notes, and a lightweight social feed.

Who can see my posts and stories?

Feed posts and stories are designed for accepted friends. Stories remain visible for up to 72 hours. Recent posts can appear in the feed for up to seven days and remain on your profile unless you archive or delete them.

Does Meant Wallet hold real money?

No. The current wallet is a clearly labeled mock preview. Checkout, payment methods, purchases, gift funding, claims, and refunds are coming later.

Can I control my wishlist and profile information?

Yes. Meant separates interests, preferences, and specific wishlist items. Privacy settings determine how gifting information and important moments are shared.

How do friend connections work?

Meant uses mutual friendships rather than followers. One person sends a request and the other accepts before friend-only information and activity become available.

What happens when I delete my account?

Your account is deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion. You have 14 days to request restoration or cancel the request. After that window, restoration is not guaranteed.

Can I connect Pinterest?

Pinterest integration is planned. It will require explicit permission and will let members choose approved boards or images rather than importing content without consent.

How do I get help?

A dedicated support channel will be published before public launch. During private alpha, use the contact method provided with your invitation.
